StoryWalk® IN THE PARK

Picture

The Gladstone Library and FOGNAP found a unique opportunity to reach out to young families. Gladstone Librarians have created a StoryWalk® along the Metro Trail which features activities preschoolers can enjoy any time they visit the park. Stories on panels, in both English and Spanish, delight children as they work their way along the trail starting at the Webster Road entrance, which is ADA and stroller accessible. StoryWalk® stories are swapped out quarterly.

After completing the walk, visitors can stop by the Little Free Library to select a book to take home. The Little Free Library, installed by FOGNAP, features adult and children’s books to share. The children’s books are provided by local nonprofit, the Clackamas Book Shelf.

Muchas gracias to our new partners, Gladstone Library and The Clackamas Book Shelf, for making both of these programs possible.
